Who We Are
The Confederate Sons Association Indian River Camp 47 is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization formed to honor and preserve the legacy and history of the soldiers, sailors, and citizens of the Confederate States of America who served and fought valiantly during the War Between the States for the principles they believed in. The CSA Indian River Camp 47 is a historical, patriotic, educational, benevolent, non-political, , non-racial and non-sectarian organization and is fraternal in nature. Members strive to perpetuate the true recording of Southern history, particularly during the period of 1861-1865, and to serve the community through living history programs, Confederate memorial services, cemetery preservation and school programs. We welcome all who have an interest in this time period.

The camp  members consist of  men and women who strive to honor their ancestors and those that have gone before them. Some members are reenactors and  living historians who dress in the uniforms and civilian dress of the time period but you don't have to have period clothing or feel you have to participate outdoors to be a member.
